When CARB started discussion of tightening emissions regulations in 2020, SEMCO Plastics began investigating products that would offer a better solution than those currently on the market. Our research showed that Akulon® Fuel Lock is the best way to meet these stricter standards. SEMCO Plastics has since partnered with DSM Engineering Plastics, the manufacturer of Akulon® Fuel Lock, to bring this innovative resin to the marketplace.

The Akulon® Fuel Lock is a family of cost-competitive materials that reduce evaporative emissions from small emissions fuel tanks by more than 99%. They are the simplest and most cost-effective way to meet the EPA and CARB evaporative emission regulations for small engine fuel tanks.
